If you’ve opted for an e-ticket, this will usually be delivered within 5 days of your purchase to your inbox. If you haven’t received one after 5 days, it’s worth checking your junk inbox just in case! If you’ve still not got it, then please contact the agent you’ve purchased your ticket through:

If you have a weekend e-ticket, you will need to retain it each day to enter the event on both days. Please look after it.
If you’ve ordered a physical ticket, these will begin being sent out at different times in batches so people you know may receive them before you but you will receive at least a week before the event. If you have not, please contact the ticket company you purchased them from. If you have a weekend ticket, you will need to retain it each day to enter the event on both days. Please look after it.
All kids aged 10 and under will receive a blank white wristband and their parent’s mobile contact number will be written on it in case they get lost.
I have a student ticket but I don’t have a valid NUS or ISIC card – will I get turned away at the entrance?
If you have a student ticket then you do need to have a valid NUS or ISIC card, or a valid University Card where some Universities are not affiliated to NUS. If you don’t have the valid ID then you will need to pay the difference between a student ticket and an adult ticket at the box office.
I want to bring my children who are aged 4 & under – do they need a ticket?
They do need a ticket, however their tickets are free and can be ordered at the same time as when you buy your tickets. They can also be added on free of charge to an existing ticket order if needed.
I want to bring my children who are aged between 5 and 17?
Please read the full ticket terms and conditions which state that any ticket holder under the age of 18 can only enter the festival with a parent, legal guardian or nominated guardian who is over the age of 30.
I am 16 and I want to come to Common People?
Yes, you can come with a valid ticket and accompanied by an adult who is over the age of 30. You may be asked for ID to prove your age and you can get a PASS card to prove this.
Are there any age limits?

If you are lucky enough to look under 25 you might be asked for ID at the entrance and at bars as part of the Challenge 25 initiative – so please bring valid photo ID with you.

Can I camp at Common People?
No, this is a show in a city park that closes each night at 11pm there is strictly no camping available.

Do I have to book in advance for any of the entertainment?
Most entertainment and shows on site are all free and you can simply turn up, get yourself a nice spot, relax and enjoy! However it is advisable to arrive nice and early so you have plenty of time to find a good spot and don’t have to rush around.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
No, alcohol cannot be brought into the event. There are fully licensed bars available for you.
Are BBQs, Chinese lanterns, flares, fireworks or fires allowed?
No, we have a no naked flame policy at the festival. Fires, flares, fireworks etc will extinguished by our festival fire service.
Is phone charging available on site?
No, please bring enough power to be able to contact people. Also, leave your phone in your pocket and get stuck into the fun instead.
Are the cashpoint machines on site?
Yes, we will have cashpoints, and the bars will accept card payments.
Can I leave the festival site and then come back in?
Please note re-entry will be allowed to the event at our discretion. Ticket holders will need to retain their tickets to be allowed to re-enter the event.
Can I bring my dog/cat/rabbit/bat/newt?
No pets or animals are allowed on site with the exception of registered guide dogs.

When can I arrive / when do I have to leave?
On both days of the event, the gates will be open from 10.30am. The event box offices open at 9.30am and closes at 8pm. Last entry to the festival is 8pm.
The event will be finished by 11pm each night and you will be requested to leave the site swiftly so please do not expect to be able to loiter on the site. It’s better for you to leave easily than have someone strongly request you move to the exit gates.
Leaving Common People
Please respect the neighbours of the event around the Common and leave quietly and as quickly as you can. There are 2 main exits to the site:
The East Exit leading to Hackney Carriage Taxi Rank at The Cowherds Pub, Shuttle Service into Town Centre, Southampton Train Station and walking to The Avenue.
The West Exit leads to Hill Lane and the official Pick-up Point at Richard Taunton College for Private Hire Taxis, and for friends and family to collect.
Can I trade at Common People?
Applications are now closed for 2017.
Can I have a charity presence at Common People?
We already support a small selection of charities – if you’d like to be considered then please get in touch as soon as possible by emailing hello(at)commonpeople.net. We get a large number of requests and we’d love to help as many as possible but unfortunately we can’t help all.
